SEO Internal Links

Internal links within a web site are important.  They have always been viewed as important for the purposes of providing a natural and efficient means for your visitors to navigate quickly and easily throughout your content.  More recently internal links have been seen as a requirement to maximise the SEO efficiency of a web site as well.

Google Page Rank for any web page can be improved by 2 means,

  • Providing backlinks from external sites).
  • Ensuring that the site wide Google PR is distributed to maximum effect within a site.  We do this using ‘internal links’.

In basic terms there is a finite amount of Page Rank available to a site.   Poor internal linking can mean that some of this ‘potential’ Page rank of a site is never utilised in the individual pages.  Understanding how this works and hence casting appropriate votes for pages (using internal links) will help ensure that ‘all’ your ‘potential’ Google Page Rank is utilised and focused so that the pages that need Page Rank get it.

Our SEO / SEM techniques are ALL legitimate, white hat, ethical, search engine approved, call it what you like. We just call it being honest and search engines seem to like that.
